Every brand has a story, and I love finding creative ways to tell it. Through content creation, marketing strategy, and social media management, I’ve helped businesses and organizations strengthen their presence and connect with their audiences. CSULB - College of Business Tutoring Center for Day @ the Beach

COB Tutoring

As part of Long Beach State’s annual Day at the Beach event for incoming first-time first-year students and transfer students, I had the opportunity to represent the College of Business in multiple ways. I collaborated with the COB Tutoring Center tutors to create an engaging and informative video introducing the tutoring services we offer at the COB, helping new students understand how academic support can be a key part of their success.

In addition to working behind the scenes, I was also selected to speak on a student panel alongside peers and alumni. We shared our college experiences, offered tips for academic and personal growth, and answered questions from future students looking to make the most of their time at CSULB. It was an incredible experience to connect with the next generation of students and reflect on how far I’ve come in my own journey.

Zen Head Spa Marketing Strategy

During my time as a Strategic Planner for Zen Head Spa, I played a key role in shaping the brand’s digital presence and sharing its mission of relaxation and mental wellness. I developed and maintained a detailed content calendar to ensure consistent and intentional posting across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Each piece of content was designed to align with Zen’s calming, gender-neutral aesthetic and focus on mental health education. From creating soothing visuals to writing thoughtful captions, I worked closely with our account manager and team to make sure everything felt authentic and on-brand. I also helped manage influencer collaborations, which expanded our audience and contributed to over 30,000 impressions. Through this role, I was able to combine creativity and strategy to support a brand that truly prioritizes well-being, and create content that encourages people to slow down and take care of themselves.

Skin Queen Facial Spa: Marketing Strategy & Outcomes

In collaboration with my Agency 241 group, I worked to create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for The Skin Queen Facial Spa. We made content that aligned with the spa’s values/services. I helped execute the strategy by creating engaging captions to ensure our message reached our audience. We analyzed the results to measure their effectiveness. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insight into the full cycle of a marketing strategy, from planning to execution and analysis.

Shop Asali: Digital Marketing Campaign

As a student in MKTG 437, I was placed on the marketing team for Shop Asali as Campaign Manager, where I contributed to developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy. My role involved creating visually appealing Instagram post and story content that showcased the brand's vibrant, African-inspired designs. I also work with the client to craft engaging email campaigns for key promotions like Black Friday and helped grow the brand’s online presence by emphasizing storytelling and community building. This hands-on experience allowed me to apply strategic marketing principles to a real-world business while celebrating cultural artistry and connecting with a passionate audience.

JOUR 425: The Business of Journalism Projects (w/ Beach Media)

In my JOUR 425 Business of Journalism class, I worked on several projects throughout the semester to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of business in the student journalism department at CSULB. These projects included researching brand awareness, staffing events, and exploring advertising sales strategies. I also worked on creating a house ad for ENYE (CSULB's Latinx version of DIG magazine) and played a role in planning and executing an event for DIG magazine. Through these hands-on experiences, I developed a deeper understanding of how to promote a brand, manage event logistics, and create an engaging ad, while learning how each element contributes to the overall business operations in the journalism industry.

JOUR 104: Social Media Communication Projects

Social Media Communications

In my JOUR 104 Social Media Communications class, I learned all about how to strategically utilize social media to engage with audiences, promote brand messaging, and build an online presence. I was able to apply these lessons through these two projects I worked on in the Fall 2024 semester. The first was a case study on Rare Beauty, where I analyzed their social media strategy, focusing on how they connect with their audience, use content to promote inclusivity and self-love, and grow their presence on different social media platforms. The second project was a social media campaign I created called #HappyTails, which provided pet parents with valuable tips on dog grooming. This campaign allowed me to practice creating content that educates, engages, and connects with a specific target audience, all while promoting the well-being of pets. Through these projects, I gained hands-on experience in utilizing social media to deliver meaningful and effective communication.
